Goerend transmission install pictures

I got my new trans today and started tearing into it, I will try to post lots of good pics. im planning on opening up the transfer case too.

heres the new trans. its a full Goerend piece with billet flex plate, 1 piece Sonnex billet input shaft, and all the other goodies to include a double deep pan. I didn't get a billet output or intermediate shaft though.

time to come out with the old slush box

If I remember correctly, the fluid was RED when I put it in there haha.

I don't remember putting metal shavings and chunks in the fluid either.

Hey there,
I also have a 95 and am looking to upgrade my transimission so that I can add a little power without problems. Do you mind me asking how much you paid for the whole setup?

someone tell me what that piece is that is above and to the left of the crank? the thing with the gasket stuff all over it. there is a hole in it and it appeared to be leaking some oil when I pulled the adapter plate off. heres a pic with the oil seal plate off.

heres the rear main seal

heres the new seal installed, and the trans adapter plate reinstalled and torqued to 57 foot pounds

New Billet flexplate torqued to 105 foot pounds

The part with the arrow pointing towards it is the rear end of the camshaft housing. There is a kind of freeze plug in it (but there is no water behind it)
