Goerend Brothers
Does anyone on this Board have any feedback on Goerend Transmissions and convertors. I might be in need of both for my racecar tow vehicle. Thanks

I dont personally own a truck with the Goerend trans setup. But from what I hear they are without a doubt some of the best. If I owned a cummins powered dodge with an auto, I would be driving it down to them right now for a full upgrade! http://www.goerend.com/

I had a transmission, Suncoast flex plate,Billet input shaft and Triple disc converter put in my truck.
I called Dave about the 1st of may and had an appointment for the 11th. I arrived at their shop at 0730 and the new transmission was installed and road tested by 1500 and I was on my way back to Cinncinati.
Dave ask questions about my present HP and mods, any future HP plans, how heavy I towed, how I liked the shift to feel.
I've only pulled about 750 miles since I got the tranny and it is much different. Its' shift into overdrive is firm , not a slushy feel like original.
My exhaust brake works much better too.

Excellent! That is what I'm wanting to hear. I haven't talked to Dave in person , only via e-mail and he seems to be very experienced in what they do. I thought kind of pricey at first, but I don't mind paying for a worthy product. Thanks guys and I'll welcome more comments!

I don't think Dave is "pricey", especially if you compare the other shops. Frugal comes to mind actually. He keeps the business overhead very low to pass on the savings.
Be on the level with current mods and planned improvements and he will work with you.
I've have many pleasant conversations with Dave on transmissions & converters.

Daves prices are almost always better than the competitors, and his warranty and service are 2nd to none.

His work is amazing, He is a top class guy as is his work. He will talk to you personally and explain everything to you. Plus his warranty is one of the best I have seen, 100,000 miles on the trans and lifetime on his triple lock convertors. I had mine done in March at his shop and he answered any questions i had. Plus he dyno tests every trans he builds to make sure all is perfect before he sells or installs one. One thing i like is the trans shifts firm and not hard, best investment i ever made in my truck.

Had a Goerend installed 1 month ago, I pulled my 11000lb trailer for the first time, everything was very smooth very impressed, it was only a test run before vacation so we'll see how she pulls for 1000 miles or so....it was worth the wait...
