I am not a fan of mechanical pumps(Rasp/Mitusa), and I have not seen the kit in an installation, but I know if Richard put it together, it is a sound kit.

GDP/Richard has excellent customer service.

I just installed mine last week. Pretty easy to do. Took me like 4 hrs I think , but that was running the lines in wire loom, and zip-tying everything tight to make sure nothing rubs. The pump mounts using the front oil pan bolts, drive pulley mounts on crank. It comes with a pressure switch so that the stock LP runs just long enough to build up a lil pressure while cranking. As soon as engine starts up it kicks out the stock pump. Comes with more than enough 3/8" ID hose, all fittings and clamps. Only problem I had was it wouldn't build pressure at first, called up Glacier and he said to pull apart the relief valve in the return line, sure enough, I had a little chunk of hose stuck in it, holding the valve open. Cleaned it out, now I'm running 19psi at idle, 17-18 cruising at 65, and with my Edge cranked all the way up, I havent sucked it down below 16psi yet. One other possible issue may be changing the alt. belt The pump mounts so close to the crank I don't see how you could change the belt w/o unmounting the Fuel Boss. But thats really a pretty minor thing, 3 bolts and the pump is off.

the fluid damper is too large so yuo wont be able to mount the pullet on the crank but a diesel shop here knows of a performance damper that is smaller than stock units so i think i might try that one. I believe it is ATI that makes it

Yeah I did forget about that, says you can't use an aftermarket dampner with it. A smaller one would probably be ok though like chali said.

As for an aftermarket LP...I'm not exactly sure, I'm sure it could be plumbed in. Maybe run the pressure switch from the fuel boss to the FASS, instead of the stock pump. Then you could tee the fuel boss feed line into your line from the tank pre-FASS. And it comes with a check valve for the stock pump anyway so that would fit right in as well....It would take a little bit of thought, but I'm sure it can be done

I'm not sure if its real good on either pump to be fighting itself like that. You should be able to bypass around it with the check valve.

I've had the Fuel Boss installed for a few months now. I put a couple custom touches to the kit when I installed it, but have not had any problems with it. I hardly even look at the FP gauge anymore... it's boring. I played with the shim stack in the relief valve and am running about 15 to 16 psi at idle. The fuel pressure actually increases when jam the pedal to the floor.

Custom touches?....do tell.
And yeah it's nice not having to watch the FP guage more than my speedometer.

do you ever notice inconsisitanties in pressure or pressure spikes

Nothing major.... I drilled and tapped the side of one of the JIC tee fittings so the Hobbs pressure switch screws right into the tee eliminating the need for the for the kit supplied fitting for the Hobbs switch and the two hose barb/worm clamp connections for that fitting. Also picked up a metric to JIC adpater and another JIC swivel 90° push-lok fitting to eliminate the factory Dorman fitting on inlet side of the stock lift pump.

No. Rock solid 15 psi at idle. Pressure varies between 15 and 17 psi depending on engine RPM and fuel demand. This is how the system should have operated from the factory IMO. Fuel pressure actually increases as fuel demand increases.

Those are pretty good ideas, wish I'da thought of that. Would have been nice to eliminate the Tee they included for the pressure switch. Not sure about those clamps.

And I also haven't noticed any kind of varying fuel pressures, mines running abt the same as mechanos's Except I get a little more, about 18-19.
