Getting a new trans from DC, what parts should I upgrade?
So after experiencing slippage a few days ago pulling a trailer (my friends Acura) i brought my car to the dealer yesterday morning. Car shifts and goes fine, NO problems but ever since that one day i experienced the slippage I had to bring it in. Gotta a phone call last night and seems like the people who did my trans flush a month ago didnt adjust my drum bands (or somthing like that) so it was completely loose and practically just hanging there so another words the reason the ride felt fine was b/c I didnt have a trailer but as soon as id be towing i'd slip is what the dealer said. He said DC isnt responsible for this but since I do go there all the time and maintain my vehicle they will replace my TRANS . Since they are doing everything now, this would be the best time to upgrade certain parts. I prob wont have the money for the TC since Im getting rims and tires but I do have money for the VB. So what exactly is most important? What if I just changed the valve body and leave everything stock?? What would change about my ride/trans? Is a new MAG-TEC trans pan worth it or just a waste of money? I need to get all of these things by thursday so I dont have much time.

I agree. Scrap the wheels and tires for now and upgrade the converter and valvebody. You'll be a lot happier and you wouldn't be worrying all the time about it. If your not gonna do that then definately get the valvebody and mag hytec pan.

^ AMEN! When the dealer is footin' the bill, let them install your parts ( CONVERTER ) Now is the time. Trans has to be removed to install it, so skip everything else for the converter/VB . Save your pennies for the rims and tires later. You will be thankful in the end.
