Getting itchy for a new rig...

I was at the dealer yesterday and started thinking about a new truck.

I really like those Mega-cabs. Next time I buy I'll get a dually Mega-cab with a stick.

Way to early to sell my truck, unless of course they gave me an unbelievable deal on a new one.

DT.

$4500 total rebate :

$3500 regular
$1000 if on lot before march.

i think another $1000 if you finance with chrysler.

got a Mega this past friday, spilled my soda all over it because of that POS center cupholer yesterday,

there NO cupholders in back if you put 3 kids in back, so all 3 kids have to throw their soda away everystop, and buy another at next stop.

SES light on this morning at ~510 miles.

hope you enjoy yours....
there's $5k rebate on duramaxes......

I am loving rowing through the gears in my new 07. It's not a Megacab but I prefer the longer bed to the bigger cab. I thought the Megacabs have cupholders in the back!!!
I got a great deal on the price but no incentives for financing so I will be shuffling some debt around to get rid of this high rate deal I got stuck with...

You will get a great deal on a new one but your trade in value will bring a tear to your eye........

I love my Mega. Only have one kid so the center pull down with cup holder works great for me.

x2 on rowing through the gears!! I would never own an auto.

Yup, driving the manual does have it's drawbacks when it comes time to shift. I don't mind though....

I've been gettin' the itch for a new one and Dave Smith makes it hard to say no. Really low prices and Ca vehicles lower than Ca dealers. More than covers the plane flight, return home fuel and lodging.

I hear that dave smith is the way to go.... but would a local dealer match their offer????

Also how does the warranty work if you buy from dave smith and need warranty work locally?? ever gotten a hassel for that?

I have never bought new before now, in fact i have never bought in warranty.

Will You get an even better deal if you pay cash?

no, warranty is warranty - i think those days are long gone, now, there are so many customers, and the cars are so complicated, it's all they can do just to get them fixed.

i carried my truck to 3 different dealers before i found a good CTD tech, he's got a 12v.

no, they don't care about cash.
ask for the invoice sheet, and study it,
it should say "HB124000" on the left hand column where the options are listed. go to KBB.co, or edmunds.com to learn about holdback & invoice.

the 3 dealers i went to were all at invoice just walking in the door.
there's $5500 of rebates now if you can fit the parameters

try to get the dealer to split the holdback with you, mine did that.

My Dealer Just wants to beat me to death on my trade..

I bought a $42,000 Truck from them 6 months ago... Paid Cash for it.

I bought a $27,000 Jeep Liberty CRD from them a month ago... Again.. Cash Money.

AND THEY STILL ONLY WANT TO GIVE ME Mid 20's for my 30K Mile CTD. Towards a Mega that's been sitting on their lot for 5 months.

I figure I'll just keep driving the one I got for that kinda deal. They could at least try to offer me some Vaseline.
