Getting 7-800hp with 07?
Just looking for suggestions/opinions on reaching 700-800hp at the tires on my '07 (5.9). Obviously, theres other mods Id need other than my Smarty, so heres whats planned:
Full billet tranny from Goerend
GDP Fuel Boss lift pump and MK-2 bigline and filter kit
Dual CP3s
Injectors-DDP 90s? maybe
II SilverBullet
Intercooler upgrade
ARP headstuds and probably fire ring head
Whillys Whistler-style intake
That about sums it up. The real question is how to get the extra fuel to stack with my Smarty with the limited number of boxes that are compatible with the '07s. Nitrous is still up in the air, but may do water injection. Truck HAS to be a daily driver, as thats all I have right now. Any input/help/info is appreciated. Thanks
Tim

unfortunately, you're going to need more than that. There aren't any boxes that will get a 07 the correct info it needs to get those numbers. You can take a look at my sig. Even with all that and the smarty I only dynoed at 591hp. That's a great number but, a long ways behind 7 to 800hp. Once I can figure out just what you're asking... I may be close to 700hp. On fuel only though... maybe 550hp to 600hp if I'm lucky but that's pushing it.
Don't get me wrong... I'm sure what you'd like to do can be done but, it takes some know how and lots of tweaking to get there.
Twins I believe are going to be a must and more fuel than you know what to do with... which is where I'm at, at the moment. Spooling is a real pain

Good luck with trying to keep 700-800 hp cool with a single charger. You'll definitely need a medium pair of twins. With the mods in my sig I can't cool them even with spraying water. I do have a 220 psi pump and a 3rd nozzle to put in now and a intercooler and cfm intake horn on order but still thinking about going to a 64/71/13 over a S400. Maybe then with water I'll be able to cool it but have the motor back out now due to melted #6 piston I think from stuck injector or egt's around 1600 degrees? Because of this I didn't get to dyno at Schieds last weekend but if I have enough air maybe close to 700 hp

Unless I have a little extra cash flowing in when I order the turbo, I think Im gonna go with a single and go twins down the line. My goal is 7-800 eventually after all the tuning and trial and error; I dont have delusions of bolting stuff on and then hitting those #s without tuning. Sure would be nice if it was that easy though!!
Im in no hurry, as I wont be buying anything major until springtime, so I have all winter to finalize my plan. Hopefully TST or C5 will be ready by then, that would help get me closer. Not sure if one of those and Smarty would be enough fuel or not.

I agree on the egts being high but a member on here with an 04.5 put down 675. thats really close to 700. it was with a single aurora 5k turbo. similar mods as above with F1 cam and springs. so it can happen with the right setup

The Silver Bullet is going to run you short on air anything over 700 hp IMO(took me to 668 though) I've been running one for well over a year now. The A5k would be a good choice or a phat shaft 71 am thinking about having a custom turbo built for mine.

Relentless Diesel has made a ton of horsepower (well, half a ton at 1132 HP) I remember reading somewhere where he made the engine so it was 'only' making something around 700-800 hp, and then used nitrous to make the rest. He said it was a more streetable engine that way.
he talks about it a little here, and has a link to a video

Twins are definately gonna happen at some point. My thinkin was getting, for example, a SilverBullet, and running that and then using it as the top turbo in a set of twins, over a turbo the size of a 5k. My thinking is Id have less lag with that instead of running a single large turbo and having more lag...does that make sense? Smaller turbo=less lag until I step up to twins. Its hard to decide, as I know nobody with an aftermarket turbo or twins, never ridden in a truck with aftermarket turbo, etc. so I dont know how they react compared to stock and how much lag each has...

And the other issue is pushing enough fuel for the turbo(s) correct? I have no idea how much power Smarty and injectors would support along with lift pump and CP3 upgrades, but I cant see me getting those numbers without stacking something with it (unless I go for broke and inject a bunch of nitrous, which aint gonna happen...)

There have been a truck or two that have reached the 800rwhp Club with a Silver Bullet and no spray, and I believe Reb Brown was running a single charger when he dynoed 1200+ (unsure of turbo and was using NOS)
