Where to get Running Boards/Nerf Bars?

I'm looking for a set of OEM style running boards (I think that's what I want???), the black plastic style. Any of you guys have these and how do you like them? The black powdered coated tubular nerf bars look real nice but I don''t think the traction and stepping safety would be as good as running boards. I have to consider my other half and the kids!!! I don't know which is preferable, as I have never owned either. I did find a company (exotic auto and truck) on ebay, but kinda difficult purcahsing a product you haven''t seen.

Your input and rec's on where to locate items is appreciated!!

Baja check these out. I think it is a great board and I'm trying to set up a group purchase. I was told that they'd give a 36 o/o discount if I had 10 ready to buy. Whadya think??? xlboards.com I like the "nerf boards"

I might be interested. I wasn't able to see a good close up picture on the web site. If we get 10 guys to go for it, what will our price be?

Let me know, as I need something real soon!!

Thanks

running boards?

Running boards just get in the way and they are always mounted to the body not the frame!

Check out 4wheel parts wholesalers or central 4wheel drive online and go for something that mounts to the frame only.Don't go cheap . My 300lb little brother broke mine off of my blazer.

I've got Raptor SS nerfs - bought on e-Bay.
They have molded in steps which provide OK traction for me/kids/wife so far.
The same guy may still be selling them.

btw - I ended up w/Stainless, but I heard a cool idea. Get the powder coat and have them painted to match the body color. If I had it to do over I'd do that.

Check my gallery. I went with Nasta nerf bars from ebay. $270

Brother had running boards and said that ice and crude would build-up going down the rode. He switched to nerfs and is a lot happier

Just MHO.

anyone use these nerf bars on ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

They are $129 plus $45 shipping & $5 for insurance =($179)

pretty inexpensive. Anyone have these?

Nerf Bar Deals I've found

I think I'm going black on my bars, to match the body side molding, mirrors, etc. I found a decent deal on Rhino bars at redtruck.com, $220.00 or so. Also, truckexpressions.com is offering free shipping and a 10% internet order discount on some of their bars.
Good luck!

I bought a set from ebay which is the same as the link shows.

They attached fine with no problems. Pull out four bolts, put in four bolts and that was it. It bolts to the frame and not the body so they are pretty strong.

So far the finish has held up which is a problem with powder coating ones. I live in Reno and we have had about 30" of snow so far. As per traction, they are fine and if there is any snow on them, it comes off very easy.

Well just my 2 pennies. Good luck
