Gear swap
Could someone help me with a decision. With 315's under me, I am wondering if lower gears would be a benifit or a burden. Ive found someone thats running 410's now that will do a complete axle swap with me but of course he has to know right away. I tow about 30% of the time(6500lbs),30% highway driveing and the rest just racing around town. What are the pros and cons?
Thanks, Mooseman

You see more people wanting to swap to 355's than 410's. You will loose some mpg and you will wind up more rpm's. You don't tow heavy so the only benefit I can see is harder acceleration. Is it worth it to you?

I don't care what you put behind my truck, it'll rip it off the red lights. Scared a few people actually. 4.10's are great for getting a big load going. Mileage does suffer. I can get 15 or so if I really try. I have stock size tires. A bigger tire may provide more an overdrive effect. My truck will only hit around 95mph, but it gets there quick. Look at my pics and you'll see what I towed.

I have the 4.10's and I agree, it rips to about 65 then you are wound out!!! At 65mph I an at about 2200 RPM's.
I did go to a 255/70 tire that helped out a ton
