gear splitter

After reading about the Ram Interstate with the gear splitter, I went to Gear Vendor site just to investigate. Now I'm looking for testimonials from anybody using this on an automatic tranny. A Goerand transmission hooked to a gear splitter sounds pretty cool to me. Thnx Steve

They're expensive and don't help much on mileage so not many folks are running them.

I would *guess* that it would help with highway mileage if you had 4:10 gears or shorter. I know my truck is geared pretty good, at~70 it's right where it should be. 22% less rpm would make it lug.

Maybe it would be good for a full drag auto tranny, if you could shift enough to keep it in the sweet spot :shrugs:

how much are they any way?
