Gear shift label turning

My shift pattern label on the top of the gearshif for my 6 speed has turned about 90 degrees. Just cosmetic, but has anyone had the same problem and how do you turn it?

Re:Gear shift label turning

Yea they spin. It's the plastic gizzmo that has the shift pattern on it. Three options. 1. take it to the dealer, loose the truck for a day and they wil put it on straight, then it will start to rotate again. 2. take a very smal kinfe and pop it off, glue it on in the position you want and problem solved. Or 3, let it go. You know where the gears are I assume, so forget it.

2 cents.

Re:Gear shift label turning

I think I will go for option 3. Ive tried to pry it off but was afraid I would mess up the rubber around it. I think I know where the gears are?

Thanks

Read the recent long thread on this. Last week? Or was it the week before? Time flies when you are having fun - reading DTR stuff.
