guys i was wondering if anyone has the experience with using a 3 inch v band style housing for a non intercooled set up. The reason i am wondering is because i am eventually getting an intercooler but i ordered the 3 inch v band for right now and want to put it on the truck with out the intercooler. I was just wondering what other people were doing of if this has been done. The housing side is 3 inches and the intake horn side is only 2 inches thank you.

I'm going to a 3" crossover tube just for that reason.

You can order a reducer boot. I did this before I put my IC in but I had to grind the lip for the clamp off, and you will also have to cut some length off of the crossover or the housing will hit it. Take some measurements and try to find a boot that will work.

Yea, get a boost gauge. if you get in the 30psi and above range the H1C might not hold. Theyve been known to blow... besides boost gauges are funnnn to watch. [cool]

45 psi is a more reasonable limit before you start to get really worried about grenading the turbo. Most non-intercooled trucks can hit that with a few pump tweaks.
