GCVWR 1-Ton Dually Quad Longbed

On a 2004 1-ton Quadcab Longbed with 5.9 HO Six speed or Auto- Does the GCVWR change if the rearend is 3.73 or 4.10.
I seem to remember hearing that it is 21,000 with the 3.73 and 23,000 with the 4.10 Does anyone have any info??

you are correct. 3.73=21,000 and 4.10=23,000. checkout the dodge.com towing guide (under RAM truck) for details.

Tranny doesn't mater from what I recall. But like mensioned their is a towing guide on the Dodge web site that has it all.

But you are right 3.73's are 21,000 and 4.10's are 23,000

Re:GCVWR 1-Ton Dually Quad Longbed

I have the DEE tranny. 6 speed that is. weighs 200 lbs MORE than the 48RE. what an animal. Not many know what 'DEE' means -- its the sales order code for the 6-speed tranny, just as "ETH" is the sales order code for the HO engine. I'll change that in my sig.

But yea, DC is spec'ing out the HO trucks according to the rear gear ratio. the tranny doesn't matter, now that the 48RE is here.

Not to be rude, but why don't you just put "6 spd" and "HO" so people don't have to try and decipher what's on your truck. I suspect most people don't care what DEE or ETH means....or maybe it's just me. No offense of course.
