Gauges
I just ordered a gauge pod from geno garage that goes in the hole under the a/c controls on my '05. I am gonna be running a EGT, boost, and trans temp guages. I have been pricing gauges and they are ridiculously expensive. I found that ebay had a lot better prices on the gauges but still expensive. THe EGT is $146 shipped, Trans $123, and the Boost is $60 shipped. This is for the autometer phantom II gauges. I liked the look of them because they are white with black writing like the stock gauges. Anyone know of any cheaper ones that still look good with the stock dash gauges? I was also told about DiProcol gauges. I have never heard of them before. How are they and how do they match up with the stock gauges?

Whats up Robert. Im running Isspro's and like them alot. Those and the Dipricol's are about the best match to the factory gauges.
Here's the Dipricol's.
And heres my Isspro's.

I wouldn't look for cheaper gauges. Go for quality and proven reliability. It's a little bit of work to set up the in dash gauges so you don't want to have to go back and replace the gauges.
Also with someone like Geno's you get a few extras that make sure you can install your gauges easily like the "boost bolt" and other parts often not included or mentioned by other suppliers. You will also good instructions and tips that realy help like wiring info for the dimmer for the lights.
You get what you pay for! IMHO

i agree w/ boz on the isspro. they look similar to the factory ones and are less expensive. i think for my a-pillar, egt, trans and boost to my door w/ the hot line from the tranny it was only like 360ish....not bad for all that your getting IMO
brett
they also send you everything youll need except for the drill and tap for the egt probe too.

Anybody running the gauge holder in the dash that goes under the a/c controls? I like it because it is down low and everyone cant see that I have them. The only thing I am worryed about it not really being able to read them as easily as if they were on my a-piller becaus I will have to look down at them.

If I am not going to run anything more than a Smarty and keep stock turbo and injectors do I really need a fuel pressure gauge?
Running latest Smarty SW at #5 now but may go to #7 later if I get a SB clutch. I don't run WOT all that much only passing in Canada sometimes when needed. MPG is a concern.
I like the D-Pricol as they look almost "stock" day and night.

I agree on getting good quality gauges. I chose the Isspros for my EGT/FP/Boost, have the DiPricol for RP. They all are complimentary to the stock appearance. I like the A-pillar mount. They are a little bit of a PITA and time consuming to install the correctly, but well worth the time.
The biggest issue I had was getting out the panel below the steering column to access wiring. I am not any good at explaining this stuff, but, if someone is - it would probably help the guys trying to do gauges now. Those clips are just plain impossible. Must be some trick to them.
