Gauges - column or a-pillar mount?

Anybody seen both? I have pictures of both but am looking for some feedback. Kind of leaning toward the column mount even though I had a-pillar on my '01. On the other hand I have never grabbed the grab handle yet - but have hit my head on it once so it wouldn't bother me to pitch that. Only need 2 gauges so either will work.

thanks

Mathew
