Fixing to order a westach dual gauge, boost & egt. It comes with 1/8" or 1/4" npt. What is the different sizes for? Do you get a more accurate reading with a certain size?

diddo on that question...

as far as i know, the only difference is the hole size where the probe is mounted... one is 1/8"npt [11/32" drill size] and the other is 1/4"npt [7/16" drill size]

Well, I haven't tested it myself but I read somewhere that the smaller thermocouple reacts faster to heat or the absence of.

does the size of the t-couple change with the size of bushing it is mounted in??? they both might be the same probe, but with a different bushing it is mounted in...

something to ponder eh?

Always start with the 1/8"... this way, if you really screw up on the tapping, you can always re-drill and re-tap for 1/4"

I talked to a friend who owns a diesel prfomance shop in town. He also said to go with the 1/8" gauge. He will install the srt 10 pillar and the dual westach gauge for $100. So he gets the job! After I get this installed, I want the afe proguard 7 intake with the torque tube. Not sure where I'll go from there. Might look into exhaust mods. I've been reading posts on several types of mufflers. I don't want anything real loud in the cab though. Thank all of you for the replies.
