Gauge size of Battery cables,

Like the title says anyone know the gauge size of the positvie and negative cables, looking to install new ends.

My guess would be 2.
Might be 4 though.

2/0 for the + to the starter, the rest are 1/0. But I would just use 2/0 for all.

4 guage? seriously? if you dont know an answer its best not to guess because it can screw someone up and /or cost them money

Yes, 4 is too small. I'm running 4 to the back of my truck to run the electric pump on my dump trailer and for that use its adequate.

Well I've never measured my battery cables, so I guess that's settled.

Just trying to save someone some problems/expense. No offence meant at all.


Correction - one cable is 4 guage - goes between drivers side battery and the PDC
