Putting gauges in dash. Can I power for the lights from the plug for heater, a/c switch ? I think I found the light dimmer wire. It goes bright to dim but not all the way off on the dim setting. The wire I found is orange w/silver tracer.

 

That sounds like the correct wire, if you notice the dash lights don't turn all the way off on the most dim setting either...
