Temp Gauge for 6-speed Manual

I am looking into getting gauges for my 07 CTD manual. Is the trans temp gauge nessacary or is that only for automatics?

I think that is autos only. With a stick boost/EGT are cool. I have a boost, have not put it in yet. If I ever start going a little further in the search for power, I would get a fuel pressure gauge as well.

I don't think it's necessary, as the G56 case is aluminum and dissapates heat well. I put fastcoolers on mine for extra fluuid capacity, but probably was a waste of money.

I've got on on my NV5600 and it can get toasty if your working it hard. Running around town and such it not a big deal but pulling hard in the mountains it gets warm.

I look at it as a gauge is cheaper than a transmission.

is that fiberglass? it will look sweet when its painted. I am going to get the triple a-mount. which would be more important: trans temp or fuel pressure? I know i need boost and egt.

SRT pillar

I've got a SRT single pod pillar coming from Genos. I'm going with the Westach combo gauge. EGT and 0-50psi boost. Smarty after that.

Do you tow?? Are you goona chip?? We need to know what your plans are for that bad boy? Daily use, Drag, Pull. I would say if it is a daily worker I would get the Fuel pressure kit.. You can also get the four guage kit from dieselmanor.com in the overhead display. I like the looks of the a-pillar guages and you don't have to look up to see them to monitor your vitals.

It is fiberglass. I mad a mold and then created a skin from the mold. I have just been sanding it down and filling the holes this afternoon. I am goona get the final coat on this week with texture and then paint!!! I will post pic's and install when done!!!!

i don't plan on drag racing or sledding. i may pull a trailer in the future. mostly its for wheeling and hauling in the bed. i go hunting up in the mountains so it will be working but not like it would with a trailer on it.

I also thought chipping was just for automatics but i have a feeling i'm wrong now.

OOOh you have much to learn my grasshopper!!!

I personally would run them all if you had to do the 3-guage a-pillar and one on the column. Like stated above the guage is cheaper that most of the parts on these trucks!!!

I installed the 3-gauge A-pillar and the used a bullet gauge mount next to the bottom gauge on the outby side. I have boost-egt-fuel press-rail press. No pics at this time but will have some in the future. I have considered also installing a tranny temp since the desert roads get real hot and I am up/down mountains towing a lot.
