Gasket Brand
I am tearing up a spare motor, but when I put it all back together, what brand of gaskets do you all recommend? I was curious as to what others have used and either had good of bad luck from? I was considering Victor gaskets, and wanted you alls second opinion. TIA

I have used Fel-pro, Sealed Power, Insterstate Mcbee and Cummins. Honestly "all the others" fall short of the originals. Basically everything in it you would not want troubles with, seems cheapened up. I have not had any major trouble with the other brands, but the quality suffers.
They when you factor in they really are not that much cheaper, the real deal looks that much better. The deal breaker for me was the cheapy valve cover gaskets and the exhaust manifold gaskets. When you go to Cummins and buy them separate it is over $100. You can find Cummins top end gasket sets for around $225. I learned the hard way and bought a cheap set, then went and got the pieces I deemed sub standard at Cummins, I had an extra $75 in it by the time I was done, and that's just for the top end.
Long story short, if you are going to put the engine in your vehicle and depend on it, use the good stuff.

So a Cummins gasket or Fel-pro would be good then ?
I was just curious to see if there were any to stay away from, so I didnt end up doing it twice.
The local cummins dealer near me does not like selling 5.9 parts. They are more of a Big 18 wheeler type of shop. Last time I called he referred me to some other shop about 80 miles away.....thought it might be easier to just go with another aftermarket brand and save me all the travel time. Thanks

I try to NOT purchase ANYTHING (good luck!) not made in China. So I ordered ALL my parts from Cummins, figuring cost no object, I want the BEST!
Imagine my surprise when my shiny new Cummins head gasket arrived and was "Made in China!" GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Its been in a year and so far no problems. I was very disapointed!

I hear ya. I couldn't believe it either the first I saw it.
I'm afraid that's how it will be now.
At work they have rows of brand new 4&6B's that have "made in china" all over them. Brackets, turbo housings, everything.
