I have a 1995 2500 diesel, engine has about 125,000 miles.

I would like to replace the V10 Magnum in a 1996 2500 Dodge with the Cummins diesel from the 1995.

Both trucks have the same transmission 47RE.

Is the changeover extremely difficult, I note the Air cooler etc and extra rad in the 1995 diesel.

Would things like flywheel differences etc enter the picture?

I have not investigated the computer control inputs and outputs going from the gas to diesel engine.

How about things like two batterys fitting in the gas trucks engine compartment etc.???

Engine shut down relays, fuel shut off relays etc etc ???

Is this not worth doing because of many problems that may be incountered, I am just in the basic investigation stage at the moment.

If it is possible any idea of the costs that may be incurred for the change?
