Unhappy G56 tear down help

I will start by saying this is not the truck in my signature, this is my son-in-laws 2007. He had a South Bend Clutch kit installed some time back, just lately he had what sounded like a bearing going bad, figured it was throwout bearing, well it got to the point where he wanted to do something about it. We tore the trans out today to find the pilot bearing had come clean out of the South Bend flywheel, needless to say the input shaft now has a ton of slop along with spline worn for the inside of the throwout bearing guide tube. Who know where we would be able to either get parts or at the very least get dis-assembly instructions? Don't know if this is something we can do or not? If a shop is local to MI we would even take it and have it serviced. Been in contact with South Bend but they were walking out the door, will need to call back on Monday, but was told they have seen this before and the current model flywheel actually has a ring machined in and a snap ring holds the pilot bearing in place. This is all probably going to get interesting.

Has anybody else had this happen to/with the aftermarket flywheel?

Standard Transmission rebuilds the G-56's. You might give them a call for some information. www.standardtransmission.com
