What year and month did they start using the G56 tranny?

Halfway Through '05

My understanding is they got halfway through the '05 model year and changed over. Mine was built in May and has the G56.

It was an option in late 2005 to have the NV5600. The G56 was the base package standard trans. In 2006, you could only get the G56.
