G56 with 35's or larger

Waiting on delivery of new truck, and had a question. I had 315's on my 03' with the NV six. How is the new G56 working with the larger tires.Mileage? Towing? RPM's at cruising speeds.Thanks.

I've got an '06 dually with 35's. I like it better than stock, since the G56 is kinda low geared anyway.

I cruise at 70mph @ 2200rpm.

The engine hasn't broken in yet so the mileage is not that good. @ 11mpg empty in the mountains.

Since I have a 99 with fueling mods, I can't say I'm impressed with the power of the '06, but the 35's didn't make it noticeably worse.

I only have 1000miles on the truck, so I have not towed anything yet. Waiting till about 1500miles. So I can't comment on the towing power. But all I can say is, thank gawd for performance chips

..............Jim

Looking for the same info on 33's or 35's on 06 with G-56 and how it affects rpm's and power.I just put 3'' level on my truck and trying to decide on 33's or 35's.I can say I really like the 6spd.

I have 35s, 3.73s, and a G56. I can still take off in 2nd gear without a load on any hill here in the mountains. I tend to use 1st on hills tho just to make my clutch last longer. As far as towing I can't tell any difference. I gained about 1-2 mpg by putting the bigger tires on it. Especially on the interstate.

Can the computer be recalibrated for the bigger tires so the odometer and trip computer will be accurate?
Kinda fond of the 6 spd myself!

The 06's seem to be having a problem with this as they changed the way it was done from the 03-05's. There have been a few posts where the dealers didnt know how to change it on an 06. Im fixing to put 315's on my truck and hope my dealer knows how.
