Fueling, injector and chip question

First off, but truck has an intank setup and a new VP thanks to the last owner. My question is does that provide enough fuel(I know, I need to get a FP guage, its the mounting of it I have not decided on or were to buy(suggestions welcome))

Second I see talk about injectors I have the following questions
1. Say I want to get stage 1 or 2 jammers is it as easy as just installing and bam i have the extra power or do I need to raise my fueling via a chip

Third is Chipping/box what every there called

I'm thinking something by quadzilla(the 120HP/325TQbox) as I don't have tons of money, but was thinKing maybe smarty, which is a better choice.

Depending on the chip/programmer you buy it may have a gage built in. The Jammer nozzles will require no extra fueling on their own.

So if I go with like stage 2 or 3 jammers and This which appears to come with gauges Would that be bad, going to add exhaust too.

purplezr2,

The sticks would need at least a boost fooler to appreciate them. You'll defuel just over 20 psi when stock. Any programmer or box that you add will take care of that. You can buy a stand alone boost fooler for about $50.

I'd go with something like you have in mind. The added timing is really nice and gives a lot of bottom end. That quad box will work great with a set of sticks like you are looking at.

I ran Jammer 4's for a while and really liked them.

Cheapest

Middle

Top, sold by the same company and as the same thing as the middle ones

The last link you show is for the complete injectors, whereas the other two are just for the nozzles. That explains the difference in price. Unfortunately though I know nothing about where to get jammer injectors.

I dont know enough to make a reccomendation. I will suggest buying full injectors over nozzles.

Im running 80 hp DDP. They run cool and dont smoke much but Im starting to want more.

Maybe here?-> http://www.f1diesel.com/injectors24.html

I think with the stock charger and fuel system Jammer 5's are too big for now. Stay with the 2's or 3's, I bought used DDII's on Ebay for $300 and couldn't be happier with the extra power. But i also have BHAF, Exhaust and gauges. See my sig. Your also gonna need a clutch upgrade & boost elbow.

Ok so order of mods

gauges(if I get the XZt with recon I should be good)
XZT
Exhaust
Sticks and boost elbow(this is like a boost limiter/upper correct)

I have played with 1.8T VW motors for the last couple years but diesel is all new to me.

make sure that whatever gauges you get, that you have a fuel pressure gauge as that is one of the most important ones on a VP44 truck. I am not sure the quad setup comes with one or not. Other than that, it sounds like a plan.

The fuel pressure is an option with the Recon. One problem with the Recon guage. You can only view one parameter at a time. Ex. boost, fuel, pyro.

But you can download different programs with the XZT. Only thing else comparable is the Smarty.
