well, I have decided to go with the HTB2 62/14 maybe 62/12 ( still reading into it ) not sure if I can fuel a 14cm housing yet. My question is the fueling, I can fuel the stock HX-35 to 50 lbs with my plate full forward. Do yall think I can fuel the 62/14? And when I bolt on the new turbo do yall think ill notice a pretty good power gain? or mostly EGT's? Oh, And I haul 7,000 lbs about 3 days a week.

I would be concerned about running a stock hx35 to 50lbs of boost, that's a lot of cylinder pressure. most of us run them to 35 maybe 40 on stock everything. To be honest I'm suprised you still have a head gasket, hats off to you! As for your question, I don't know?

I have slid the plate back, I run it at 42 WOT ( still a nono ). I ran it with the plate full forward just to see what it would hit Kinda as a reference.

i had a similar setup like you did, 215 pump modedd with plate and gsk, i didnt see a big power increase going to a 62/12 turbo, but it sure made the egts climb slower, and less smoke,

the 370's injectors really woke up the truck, now its running 435's (very smokey at 7000 feet elevation!

My first replacement turbo was the 62/12. It spooled very quickly, cooled nicely under routine circumstances. It didn't do well with truck pulls. Went to the 64/14 with a 71mm turbine wheel and had problems but there may have been a boost leak.

I'm not sure, given that you will tow 7K, that you will like the 14cm housing. It is slower to spool and you will need to keep the rpm's up. I didn't see if you had a manual, if so, you will have more flexibility.

Ask around and think of what you will use the truck more for - towing or fun.

If you can't spool it then you have all the more reason to add some fuel =P According to HTT the bigger housing will slow spool by 200 rpms.

Since you don't seem to believe in wastegates, you could try to find a s300 for cheap =P It'll be about the same as a htbg or super b.

Guy's, don't rag on me. I do believe in waste gates, as of right now that is my right foot and a boost gauge. Im doing my best to fix my problem the right way, getting yall's expert advice and upgrading my turbo accordingly. Thanks to all you guys for the help
