Fuel vent?
Hey guys, I filled up yestarday and noticed that when I took my cap off it released pressure and I know there is a thread about this and a link on how to clean your vent but I have looked all over and can't find it. Can someone point me in the right direction please. Its for my Diesel fuel tank. Thanks

Re:Fuel vent?
Get under the truck and look up on top of the fuel tank there are fuel lines goin in threw the top. There is also a little elbow that should not have a cover on it. That is your vent if the cover is already off you might rub around and see if maybe something is plugging it. Hope this helps.

When it does rain here in S Texas the ranch roads get pretty nasty. I had mud stuck on my vent and had to actually trim the tim off to get it to vent properly.

Also take a pin and move around the spring in your vent cap. they have been known to stick.

I drilled two small holes right through my factory fuel cap.

I think the newer trucks [02 and up] have some kind of switch or sensor on that fuel filler don't they? Re:Fuel vent?
Awesome thanks guys. Does anyone have the link to this forum that explains how to clean it and has a link for step by step instructions. I remember reading it not too long ago. Thanks
