Mine's been sitting in the garage for a couple months. I tried to run the fuel out but when I got below 1/8 tank my fuel filter clogged up and the truck started running really bad. Now I'm scared to run it that low again......

What special precautions do you need to do to drill a whole in the tank?
What about filings falling in or?

It's easy, you need a coffee cup to prevent plastic from falling in while you drill. Then just be carefull when you put the fitting through so you don't drop it. Jsut follow the incredibly detailed instructions and you'll be fine. OH, your arm is gonna get covered in fuel so wear a grubby shirt!

This may sound silly....Does this kit work on the '06 trucks? I can sit there and slow pump another 4-5 gallons, but it takes >10 minutes.

Thanks!

Yep....this mod is primarily geared for 3rd GEN trucks. I purchased Dave's Kit and it's the best thing since sliced bread............lots & lots of time saved in the topping off the fuel tank department. I'd strongly recommend it to all 3rd GEN owners.
