fuel tank capacity

Had a good look around and couldn't find the specs..........I don't have an OEM handbook either.......

what is the actual specified fuel tank capacity for 2nd gens? I never run my tank that low so i don't really know what it actually holds.

mine holds 35 gallons I've ran it low - needle just below the top right of the "E" and it tool 34.5 gallons

Definitly won't be doing that now with the Vulcan Draw Straw

Not sure if you are a short bed or if that would even matter - I think they're all 35.

Think the book showes 36 gallons for the 2002. Never ran it that low, only had the low fuel come on once shortley after I got it, and it took a little over 30 gallons.

My understanding was that the longbed is 35 and the shortbed is 31. Mine is 31....I think.

According to the manual for my 2002, the short box club cab + quad cab are 34 gal (129L) and all others are 35 gal (132L).

thanks guys....so between 115L and 130L is pretty accurate by the sounds of it....

shortbox 115 long 130

I've never filler more than 80 liters though. Although my low fuel light and dinggin starts at Approx 1/8th tank line? is that normal for others? thats the main reason I've only ever filler about 80liters.......cause the dinging drives me crazy.

Mine said 128L on the window sticker, the low fuel light comes on regardless at 1/8th tank. Be careful, my sender just crapped out and was replaced and now when I fill up below 1/8th I can get 115L in it where as before 105L was maxed out. I even ran it out once because it would run down to "E" before no problem, now anywhere below 1/8th is the twilight zone.
