Fuel Specialists Please
Guys I goofed last night. Real tired after work and caught myself filling with fuel oil at 1/2 tank. Was really more concerned that it was $1.73 as apposed to $1.66, because I know they're close. Anyway, I went in and paid, acted like I meant to do that, went down the road and topped off with Diesel. I was concerned about moisture, lack of additives, and pump lubrication, so I put in over half a bottle of Power Service. No noticeable change in prformance or gauge readings, some of the rattling (injectors?) seems to be muffled. Should I expect any surprizes? I plan on running it all through, and not changing the filter til they start pumping summer mix.

My fuel / heating oil distributors out of Waverly and Hopewell have a big stamp on the fuel oil receipts that says "This is dyded diesel fuel for off road use only, penalty for on road use". You should not have any problems at all as long as there is no dye in what you put in the tank if I understand you right.

Wasn't dyed, but was definitely fuel oil, not kerosene. I, m sure it aughta be diluted enuff, but if the pump goes, I guess I'll hafta get a performance pump.
