Fuel PSI and MPG

I recently installed a RAPTOR fuel pump. My fuel psi now reads 16lbs. My maintenence handbook says 10lbs psi is recommended setting. I think I've read here somewhere that the VP will handle increased psi. I don't plan to increase it....but I'm wondering if how MPG might be affected with 16lbs vs 10lbs. My uneducated thinking is more PSI = less MPG , ...but probably not too much (maybe 1-2 mpg?). Thoughts?

I dont think it matters, it just sends the extra fuel back to the tank anyway doesnt it?

I believe another member gained MPG or Horsepower..can't quite remember which member or whether or not it was MPG Increase or HP. Either way he say an increase in one of them once he got around 30psi. 16psi will not hurt nor lower your MPG reading.

fuel pressure should not affect mileage as whitelightnin says .....back to the tank and can't get past fuel delivery system. my GM engines (12v149)12 cyl 149 ci per cyl run 95 psi. the CATS (D353)run 40lbs. however more psi means more fuel circulating which means more cooling.

Those pressures are fine. 10 psi is what I would consider low or about right at WOT.
