Fuel Problem

I've got a 2000 3500 dually with a fuel problem. It cycles over and over( about 10 -15 seconds) before it starts up. Been like this for about 2.5 yrs. When I park it with the back end uphill I just touch the key and it'll fire up. level ground really bad, front end up worse.Seems like when tank is full, not quite as bad. Has a new lift pump,8months old installed. I've been thinking that I've got a crack in the line somewhere or somethings wrong with the sending unit. I've got unit out now. I could use some HELP! Please, I don't know what to look for.

Sure sounds as if losing some prime after shut down. Small amount of air getting in fuel line during cool down. Has to purge this to start. Many times will not present a pressure fuel leak. Good luck

having the same prob. I have also replaced the lift pump, couple weeks ago.. have all new line from tank to vp44, as well as a newer 2001 fuel filter housing, as my original started to leak from the top where the heater wires entered....

I recently took off the overflow valve, cleaned it up and replaced, but did not have new banjo washers, so now it squirts fuel from that.. I will try replacing the return line from the valve to the T next..

cant understand why, if there is a leak in the return line after the overflow valve, how it could loose prime if the valve is working properly,,, many on here have said it is never the valve tho????

I also have no visible fuel leaking anywhere..
