Fuel Pressure Guage ?
I have a Isspro EV FP gauge with isolator. I hooked it up last night and it showed about 20 psi at idle (new FASS pump) and dropped a few psi at WOT. After about an hour it stopped working, the pump is running I can hear it. I filled the isolater with antifreeze, but not the nylon line to the gauge. Do you have to fill the line too? I am not running a needle valve, but plan to, could I have killed the gauge that quickly?

It shouldn't have.....
I just installed a Di Pricol Optix 30# gauge last week with an isolator on mine. I filled the isolator & tube up with a syringe. The tube isn't bad to fill. Just back fill it from the lowest point, when its full, cap off the upper end so you don't lose the fluid.
But still, even with air in the line, it seems like your gauge should do something....

fiveology,
If you used the pancake style isolator you're proboably Ok there. Check the plastic line I bet it has a kink or got against something hot and melted. Doubt if the gauge died. Let us know what you find!

Pressure is bleeding off in the gauge side of the isolator....i bet if you try to reseal everything, it will start to work again......we see this every so often with some custs...Did you use thread sealant on all the pipe fittings?

Thanks Dan, I am pretty sure it is on the gauge side of the isolator too. Last night I opened the bleed screw on the bottom of the isolator and there is plenty of diesel getting to the isolator. I did seal all the fittings at the isolator but I can't remember if I sealed them at the gauge. It is definately bleeding down though, yesterday at start up it showed normal pressure for about 5 sec. then bled down to about 1 psi and stay there for a while.

The ISSPRO instructions say you don't need to fill the line to the gauge with anti-freeze if it is less than 6 feet to the gauge. I didn't fill mine and it is working great. Did you put the ferrule in at the gauge and isolator?
Good luck,
Bob

sadlerb_98,
Whle their install info does say that it will get you readings that are less than accurate. Air will compress and not supply the full pressure reading to the gauge, while a liquid won't etc.

Just remembered this......I have, more than once, have pinched the line right at the back of the gauge just out side of that compression fitting when installing the gauge in the pod. Some of the cheaper line will just crack when crimped. Recheck your clearance that you have with the back of the gauge and stock a-pillar trim..........
