Fuel Pressure Guage

I have a quick question. I have all necessary guages except the fuel pressure guage (do have 5psi warning light though). I want to install the Autometer Sport Comp series to match my others. I see some online that say "must be mounted outside" and some that don't. What is the difference? TIA

Mine is in the cab because i have a isolator under the hood that is filled with anti-freeze which runs to the guage. Its just a safety precaution.

If you get the auto meter gauges the fuel pressure has an electrical sending unit, that is how my ultra lite works.

My Ultra lite is mechanical although I originally had it with an isolator maybe that's the difference, that is MIA now. SS braded line into the gauge in cab, no problems.

Good luck.

Mounting outside is a safety thing. I don't think it's as big a deal with diesel than it is with unleaded. I have mine in the cab with stainless steel braided hose. A little overkill for some, but that's how I like it.
