Fuel pressure gauge time
After posting this thread a few days ago..
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=213458
Some people think its the VP44 and others are sure. I was going to find a fuel pressure gauge. Are my options all the $200 ones? I saw one that could mount under the hood ($40) but that wont help will it? IS there some autometre part numbers or another brand someone could suggest so i can get the right one the first time...I heard electric was a option? Thoughts?

I'm not sure about your codes--they don't look like the ones people always talk about when the vp goes out.
You can get a good mechanical fuel pressure gauge, needle valve, and everything you need to hook it up for around $40.
Check out this thread https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=213240
If you're still running the stock lift pump and fuel filter, you can get a banjo fitting or something like that from vulcan performance to tap the outlet side of the fuel filter canister and run 1/4" fuel hose with pushlock fittings, needle valve, and 1/8 npt fittings to a mechanical gauge in the cab. The Jegs liquid filled mechanical gauge is supposed to be a good one and only cost $17.

Thats just a warning light. Better than nothing but you really want a
gauge to see where your pressure is. Some folks run the gauge and a
light together. The really hardcore also have low pressure chime or
buzzer too.

think i was able to get all mine off ebay little cheaper then anywhere else, triple pillar pod with autometer gauges, electric fp gauge on the colum with the colum mount pod, al were pretty easy to do if you are mechanicly inclined and know a little about cars and wiring

If you just want a temp guage just get a GAS feul pressure guage with a shreader valve tap, That is if your truck has the the threads on the backside of the banjo bolt ether on the lift pump or feul filter houseing, oh and just as a simple check look at your feul filter, sounds simple but you never know. I saw something on here about a mechanical guage. I belive a mechaincal guage in the cab is illegal in canada plus its kinda dangerous. The gas feul pressure guage is mechaincal and i just put it under the wiper for test drives. Its not for permanent use, just an ocasional test. Or you could get the autometer electronic guage and the banjo bolt with 1/8 pipe threads in the top. Just make sure you get the hirer range guage so you don't have to worry about a snubber

Rage Blue here is some spelling for ya:
FUEL not feul
HOUSING not houseing
BELIEVE not belive
OCCASIONAL not ocasional
HIGHER not hirer
And the snubber has nothing to do with the range, it absorbs pulsations caused by the fuel pump, and you dont want too high of a range or you will not get the resolution you are looking for.
