Im sure there are some previous posts on this but Im too lazy to search. Every once in a while my fuel pressure gauge will act wierd. It jumps up and down spuratically and it rattles. How can I fix this and where do I get the parts.
make sure you have a needle valve inline between the engine and the gage...throttle it shut until the fluttering stops.
if you don't, the pulsations will kill the gage.
it's much worse on a 12v, but I suppose it could also happen on a 24v.

Common trouble with a VP equipped truck too.
Click on the fuel pressure link in my sig to see how my needle valve is plumbed in.
Close it all the way off, then just turn it open until a good pressure reading is acheived that also bleeds off quickly when the engine is shut down.

depends on how much it is jumping??? if its a few psi without a change of load on the motor than your LP could be dying...
needle valve or pressure snubber can help with the rattle; needle valve has the advantage of allowing you to turn the fuel off to the cab.
