Fuel pressure gauge finally installed!

Well i finally got time to install my fuel pressure gauge on my 02 24v. With 55700 miles on it the original LP reads about 12 psi at idle around 8 - 9 psi cruising and it pulls down to 5 psi at WOT. I'm thinking i probably should replace the LP in the near futre beore it gets too low of readings. I am very happy with my set up, i got two lengths of line from Genos, and autometer gauge and an adapter to adapt the gauge to the line. To be very honest i was expecting alot worse of numbers on my LP.

Does that Vulcan relocation kit make the LP last alot longer? and about how much is all of it? Its still under warranty. I want to run the stock style lp and not the in-tank one dodge is replacing the old ones with.

Those nunbers are not great, but probably about average. I would replace it or watch it REAL close. My first finally got a little weaker then that at 120 K miles. The second lasted until about 140 something and I replaced it with a FASS II.

Dont think it will necessarily will make the pump last longer (you need a FASS or a FASS2 for that). But the Vulcan kit has 1/2" line which will deliver more fuel to your injector pump, which is what is the best scenario.

Being an 02 with < 60K on the odometer, it should be under warranty. And I believe the dealers are now doing the in the tank pump. Good luck.

You don't want the in-tank pump. You want that pump you have to last (fingers crossed) and I know no way to make that happen.

But...Those are the exact pressure numbers I had w/ 40k miles. After the Vulcan kit with the pump in the factory location, I went to 13 at idle, 12 cruise, and I have never seen below 10 now. Cheap too.
