I have a friend that has a 12 valve mechanical and he wants a fuel pressure gauge dont know why. But i want to know if it can be done and how it is done if possible.

Even though fuel pressure loss on a 12 valve isn't as common as on a 24 a FP gauge will still help keep you from walking and will pay for itself rapidly by preventing unnecessary fuel filter changes.
Changing the fuel filter on mileage basis is bass-ackwards, one bad tank can plug it in 10 miles. On the other end of the spectrum I know one fellow who went 63k before his plugged.
A FP gauge will alert you to when it's time for a filter change or if any other fuel delivery component is getting ready fail.

I'm with you on the cost savings, Bill. I've already saved the price of one filter, two more and I'll have broke even on the gauge.
