I'm about to buy the isspro gauge kit for my truck. What would you recommend for the third gauge, fuel pressure or trans temp. i Have an auto tranny. I have nothing tow now and nothing in the near future. I will be adding intake system and maybe exhaust later in the future. Eventually getting a smarty too.
If it were me Id buy both. I think they are both equally important.
Thats my .02

Why don't you get a Boost/ EGT combo unit? Westach makes more appealing gauges IMHO.

well i really like the way the isspro look like the dash gauges. also i like how dieselmanor made a what seems to be a really nice kit to get you started.

IMO, if you aren't towing anything, the FP will be more important. The trans temp should stay pretty cool in normal driving.

If your not towing fuel pressure makes more sense. IMHO

Cool!
Now all you need is a fuel pressure gauge and your setup would be complete. [coffee]
Let me know if you need any help. I just installed my gauges from Dieselmanor this week. I'm in Va Beach also.

ok no prob, the only thing is i have to wait till next monday, they are out of stock on the a pillars.
I went with EGT, Boost, and Trans. Temp. on the A pilar, and I'll go with Fuel Pressure and Engine Oil Temp. mounted above the rearview mirror.
Combine those with the Attitude monitor, Garmin 276C GPS, and radar detector, and at night it almost feels like a cockpit! [laugh]

Are they still green on the 07's? You did not mention it but I assume you know you need the bulb covers...if green.

You're gonna need some type of fuel pump with the mods you're planning and you're gonna need a fuel pressure guage to keep an eye on it. Very important guage, imo.

I got the FP gauge. I then installed the tranny temp gauge on a single pod colum mount. I would of got the FP gauge first. You have a tranny temp light that will come on if you are overheating from the factory. It is an idiot light though.

IMO, by the time the tranny idiot lamp comes on, the tranny would already be toast.

Hey Jim,
I am right over in Smithfield and I just ordered my install package from Diesel Manor. I got Diprocols from a gentleman in Ca, and since I have a 6spd, I got Fuel pressure, Boost, Pyro and Rail press. I also ordered a single gauge column mount and the colored three gauge A-pillar mount from them.
I have heard both positive and negative about the Autometer units. I installed Diprocols in my '01.5 and I loved them. That fuel pressure is vital either way.
Please pm me as I will be coming off of the ship tomorrow night and will be off for the next 20 plus days in preparation to retire. I will be installaing my gauges this week and I have all of the stuff plus extra to help you out in any possible way.[coffee] [coffee]
