What fuel plate have I got????

My bro in law bought a truck which he doesn't know what had been done to it. It is a 1997 CTD Auto 4x4 CC. It pulls Very well. Smokes good when you give it throttle. I told him I'm sure its got a plate in it. I looked and saw it has a boost elbow, and there was a breakoff screw in the pump that wasn't broke off. So being curious to what plate it has I pulled it out....
Thats where I was suprised, it was in the center position, and it looks like a stock plate I think. The number on it is 24242 on the top and 2442 stamped on the side of it. I phoned the local diesel shop and they had no clue what it was, they thought it must be a Bosch number. But wouldn't be bothered to look it up. So... does anyone have a reference to Bosch numbers that could find out what this might be out of? It has not been ground by anyone, it looks like a factory edge...I took a picture of it, I can post it if the moderator will let me

I guess what I'm asking, is it a stock '97 auto plate? Or could it be out of some other engine? Why does it pull like a 260hp truck?
Everything seems stock....

It's the stock number. Maybe someone ground it down.

sounds like someone has ground down a stock plate. what shape is the profile. a # 10 is like this( a #11 is a bit of a s shape, a #4 is also ( shaped but deeper than #10. i have a ground plate in my truck also, so no one would know what it is unless the really knows plate profiles.
