the difference is the profile. the lower the number the more fuel and more agressivly the fuel comes in as you go through the rpm range. This does also equate to more heat but the potential for more hp if oyu have the air for it.

i do tow heavy. well, 22,500 pounds combined. used to seem heavy til i started turning this thing up : ) was in tenn and went to mid south diesel to get a plate. i asked for a 10 and dude brought out a 11. i had him go back and get me the 10 w/o looking at the profile of the 11. just curious what the difference is. i take it the 11 is newer and possibly a replacement for the 10? wish i would have looked at the profile...
also, my 10 is not like the one pictured above. well, thats close but it is shaped more like a V (on its side) than the one above which to me looks more like a C
thanks everyone

#11 - 280/680
#10 - 330/750
wow, hard to believe the difference between the two pumps
those are the numbers with a 215 pump
look how much less difference it makes in a 180 pump:
#11 - 210/550
#10 - 220/570
do you think that is accurate???

The 215 pumps do make a lot more horsepower with just a plate change. If you mod the AFC, advance the timing, add a Mack plug, etc, the 180 pumps can actually make more power since they don't retard timing like the blasted 215 pumps.
