Fuel Mileage yet again

I know, I know, kicking a dead horse. My fuel mileage has been going down since I put the comp on. I usually only drive around on 2 or 3. I don't know if my gauge is just off.(From empty light to fuel its only like 25 gallons). Also I'm getting around 350 on a tank. I need to clean my air filter, but I don't think a dirty filter will make that much of a difference. My boost is 30-33, EGT's 800-1000 cruisin, 1250 WOT. Fuel pressure 15 idle, 10-12 cruising, 7 WOT. I don't know much about these trucks. I've heard of an APPS and read about it, but not sure exactly what it is. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance guys.

Check your IAT (Intake Air Temp) sensor. If you get a bunch of GUNK on it...it will put more fuel in than what is needed. you can clean that off with a electrical friendly cleaner. You can find it behind you MAP sensor...you have to stand on your ear to get to it though! Try that.....

Clean your DANG filter man! YES it can drop your milage! ALSO check you tire pressure...make sure you are running them up high enough. Leave the comp on #1 only for driving around. That is just an EZ. 2-5 will access that lil fun wire. More fuel! Change your oil....if its been a while....try thoes things.............you know...you could alway FASS it...but that is shamless product placement!!!! Most of all, KEEP YOUR FOOT OUT OF IT!! Got that ticket paid off yet?

PM me for some other ideas if you want......

Dan,
Cleaned the IAT about 8000 miles ago. Wasn't too dirty when I cleaned it. I guess I will wash and re-oil that UNI filter. What pressure in tires? 55 psi? Oil is changed every 3000 miles. Will start running the comp on 1. What about this APPS? Does that affect it?

I wouldnt think the APPS would cause bad milage....you would feel it before it did that i would think! Tire pressure with your tires...........HUM...i ran mine at 35 rear and 50 fnt for a while. I didnt like the rear tires wearing in the middle due to high pressure...but this will increase your milage....higher the pressure, less tire on the road......i think yours are MAX 50 Cold.......

I run 50 front and rear and can knock down 18mpg with my truck with the comp on 1x2.

aight I'll adjust my pressure. Hey Blue or Dan, whats the difference between 1x5 or 1x1? All my settings are on levelx5. Should I adjust the sublevel, if so how do you know what to run?

Responsiveness. I usually set them up, 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5. The higher the second number the sooner the fuel comes in. The sooner the fuel comes in the worse the mileage.
