Fuel Filters

Okay Boyz, I have a problem I need one or more of you to straighten me out on. My 1999 Dodge will not run right on the aux tank. Here is what I found this morning. I have the switch on the original tank and I get under the truck with engine running and I see some bubbles forming around the inlet of the clear housing inline filter, not many, just a few. Then I switch the toggle to the aux tank while the engine is still running and crawl under the truck and look at the inline filter for the aux tank and the bubbles are ten or more times more and now they are real small bubbles. Is this air sucking in somplace between the tank and the filter or is it water in the tank causing the pumping to make it look like air bubbles???? Thanks, Sonny

Could be either.

A little water contamination will look like air bubbles, best way is to capture some of it in a clear jar and let it sit.
If it is wter, it will go to the bottom of the jar, air will go to the top.
