New to the forum and what a nice find..I have decided to take over the service work on the truck after the dealer said the oil filter didnt need to be filled before it is put on..

I picked up the oil and fuel filter and when I got home I found the fuel filter to be FS1268..I called the dealer and he said that this filter was replaced by FS19579, and it is safe to use..

Is this right or do I need to order the FS19579..

 

Called the same dealer they gave me a completely differ number. i pm you with it you can call me if you want 377 1009

 

The 3 times I've gotten them from Cummins, they've given me the FS19579.

A lot cheaper than the Dealer as well.

Thanks to you all..I got the oil and filters changed today..I had a small problem installing the oil filter but all is well..
