Well it was only 35 degrees yesterday without the wind chill. Usually the case when I decide to service the bucket.

1. front diff service
2. t-case service
3. rear diff service
4. fuel filter
5. clean air filter
6. vacuum interior
7. whiped down interior
8. grease job
9. topped off washer fluid
10. topped off p/s fluid

Started at noon and got done at 430. not too bad with the weather conditions.

the diff fluid sure did not want to come out of the bottles at that temp but did git r dun.

Installed a T-Rex steering brace a couple weeks ago too. Sure did change the feel of the steering. Upgraded late model steering linkage is next then off to T-rex air suspension (9" baby)!

You're just too ambitious for a cold day to get in your way. I am due to change the diffs/tranny/transfer case too. I guess I'll have to buck up, brave the cold, and get it done. No garage here either, just a car port, but usually I just get down on the ground wherever I happen to park the truck.

At least you have a concrete driveway, I just have dirt and gravel, but I DO have plenty of cardboard and an old chaise lounge pad to break the pain.

I actually was planning to do them this week. I have pretty much every afternoon off, temps will be in the upper 50's to low 60's. So, I was going to do 1 axle on day, the other on another day, then the tranny and xfer case on another. If time permits I might get a couple axles done on the same day.

Thanks for the invite Chris, but I kind of think that we will be pretty busy with just the Air Dog install knowing how we seem to BS too much . . and then there are probably a lot of interruptions at your place like there is at mine . .

The one thing that has always helped me with the cold and more viscous fluids is my Coleman cooler. It has both a cooling function and a heating function. I turn it on to heat, put my quarts of oil in it. They are nice and toasty as I pull them out to use them. Mother Nature CAN be deterred to some degree. My Carharts also make it qquite comfy working outside too. I got them when I lived in PA. I have changed oil out in temps way below freezing and been quite comfortable due to the Carharts. My Son and I once changed out a rear axle in temps right at 0*s and never really noticed the cold because we were nice and comfy in our Carharts. I even learned how to work in gloves living there.

We'll have to decide upon a date for me to come up to do the Air Dog. It will depend mostly on when it arrives I suppose, eh?

it should be here by thursday night friday morning. I am sure we will do our fare share of BS'ing during the airdog install! LOL... Andy will be there to help so we can knock it out quick like. He and I did my transmission, oil change and started the truck in 1.75 hours! We work pretty well together. Don't even have to say what we are doing. just kind already know what each other is doing and have a good team going that way
