Front Tires

I have 16K on the truck and just noticed that the front tires are starting to cup. I jacked it up and everything seems tight. Is this normal?

I have a 2004 2500 Quad 4x4 and have had many 4x4,s . It is my expirence

that the 4x4 need more frequent rotation of the tires due to the slight lean the tire goes through in the turning arch much the same way a road graders front wheels turn. This causes some cuping on the edges. This will only get worse with time coupled with improper inflation and rotation. My best results were rotating them around the same time I changed oil on the gas burners but I would say around the 5000 mark would get it under control. AS long as all elese is tight fitting you may get lucky after moving them to the back they may smooth them out again if it is not to late and they are not bouncing from being out of round. Just my opinion and experience.

I've rotated my tires every 7500 miles with oil change . I still have the factory BFG's with 62,000 miles on them with about 10,000 left. Wear is flat as can be by running the recommended empty pressure at 50 psi front and 40 psi rear.
