Hey all, I've searched for rotors long enough tonight to be fairly confused and was wondering if someone could chime in on some of my questions.
which rotor style is considered better: regular/slotted/drilled&slotted.
which rotor brand is better?
which brand will take all of my money/most of my money/some of my money to purchase.

I'm researching this myself.

From my racing days, you definitely don't want "drilled". They have a tendency to crack.

On a street driven vehicle slotting is not necessary, they can help, but they can also cause the pads to wear quicker.

Still researching the metal treatments and rotor design for large heavy vehicles.

Jmac a bit off topic but how do you like your Rzr?

They should be illegal b/c they are soo fun. Just don't take a sharp turn at high speed unless you know for sure the tires will break free and slide...don't ask me how I know that.
Like with anything we **** retentive owners would do with a new product, you have to better a few things and with the rzr it's the air box and intake. It needs to be sealed up to prevent dusting your motor.

anyone have any pics on what parts of the caliper you lubricate. And what you lubricate with. A local mechanic told me today that it may not be the pads that are squeeling. That it may just need to be lubed.

When my rear calipers siezed up I used EGR brakes. They had a good article written up on them in a magazine. I am getting close to doing the same on the front of my truck as I think one side is starting to hang up. I replaced calipers, rotors and pads... I have been happy with the items purchased..

SHould be the caliper slid pins, if you take them out, check to make sure the pads are even, not worn at a angle cuz the caliper hung up.

the Passenger side pads were not worn even. I was going to order hawk pads from genosgarage. My oem pads were squeeling at 45K and glazed, so I don't want to spend that much money for them to not last.
