fRONT RECEIVER HITCH MOUNT LOCATION??

A front hitch is on my soon list. Curt Manufacturing makes one, I think others do as well. Frame drilling yes on '06 and later but no cutting anything.

I have a front hitch installed on my '07 4x4 MC. I did not have to cut anything, but I did have to drill two fairly large holes in the frame. I'd say there is about 1/4 inch clearance between the front fender skirt and hitch.
If you have any specific questions, PM me.

I like the one on the red truck in this thread:
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=154079
Pros are it's nice and high compared to the ones that fit under the bumper and it just looks good.
Cons are you lose your tow hooks (which I've never used anyhow) and it's only rated for a 500 pound tongue weight.

It was a pain in the behind until I got a tapered bit and a right angle drill. It would have been easy if I had removed the bumper. Be sure and have a can of matching black spray paint so you can repaint the raw metal once you have finished the install.

Heres what I want to use it for:
1. Winch mount (10k lb Harbour Freight cheapie)
2. Bicycle rack mount
3. My BIL uses his (on a Dmax) to manouver a small fishing boat into tight locations)
Will the Draw-Tite or Curt model work for those applications??

I put a draw tite on mine. I did not find it necessary to drill the side fish holes (the large ones), but rather once I took the bumper off, I just rotated the the internal crush tubes inside the frame and fished the bolts in from the end. Very easy and less holes.

I like the loks of it but don't know if I'd trust it with a winch on it but still might get one for moving my trailer into tight spots.
