Front end vibration???????

Hey guys,

I have a vibration that comes and goes in the front end. Usually I would point to the wheel bearing as the culprit but just doesn't seem like the issue. The problem is very intermitent. Doesn't even happen everytime I drive the truck. The truck will be fine until I hit a good bump and then I will get a vibration that I can feel in the steering wheel and under my feet. It is definitly rotational. The really strange thing is when I engage the 4 wheel drive the vibration goes away. I am going to change the front diff fluid and see if that makes a difference.

Is it possible the axle bearing is going bad?

Thank you

Do you have manual locking hubs? Almost sounds like it could be your front drive shaft too. In 4x with a little pressure on it maybe it smooths it out...

Its not death wobble thats for sure. Its not a shake its just a rotational vibration. Its almost like the sound and feeling of having really knobby tires. Hard to explain, but nothing I have felt before.

No I don't have manual hubs... Would be nice though haha. I will disconnect the front driveshaft and see if it still happens tomorrow.

Thank you for the input keep it coming please...
