Front end noise & vibratoin? The Fix!
This is to let you know that Router 99 was right about the noise & vibratoin on the front of the 03 that you feel in the steering! I followed his directions which where to take the Right headlight assembly out and find the metal tag by the radiator mine had just 2 rivets instead of 4, drilled the mount and put the other 2 rivets in place! It worked ,no noise or vibratoin with the a/c on at 60 to 70 .WOW who would think a little metel plate could do all that

http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2003/23-016-03.htm link to the tsb. I will look at this when I get home. I can't image this little piece causing all the vibrations in the steering wheel and pedals..... :-

Well, I just checked mine and it came with all four rivets, so that ain't the problem! Sure glad Dodge could spare the extra two rivets and 30 seconds it took to put them in. What a lame attempt to fix the problem >!!!
At least MAYBE Dodge acknowledges a problem ???
I took my truck in for pulling to the right and tried to talk to the tech that looked at the alignment. All he knew was that the little bars on the computer where in the green area, When questioned about the actual measurements he couldn't even read his own machine. He wrote down the specs wrong and couldn't even get the the positive and negative right. I totally understand why they put the green area on the computer display!!!!

Fat chance…..my two rivets were missing so I saved the time and aggravation of removing the headlamp assembly and instead pulled it out by the roots with piers. It had no affect on the vibration. Must have been those 2 1/10th of a gram rivets that I left in the frame that is giving my truck the *******! Maybe this was a DC hypnotic repair approach for the cost of two rivets? Sound logic all the way around..........

Sure hope you don't ever have to go through a thorough VIN inspection. You removed one of the plates with the VIN #. A Federal Offense and a severe violation in most states.
For those who don't have the time to go to the "*******", on the corners which don't have rivits, place Epoxy Cement, a couple of dab 'ill do ya. Takes 5 minutes.

Darn, the thing just fell off. Manufacturer defect you know. Must have been missing rivets. The pertinent VIN is on the dash and stamped into the frame, not this cheesy thing. I had that thought when I tore it off…..all the while thinking of DC and all their great support they have personally given me. Thanks for pointing this out
