Front end low speed rattle/squeak
I get a rattle that I can hear at low speed that sounds like it's coming from the drivers side front end. It doesn't seem to be generated by bumps in the road. My thoughts are its either the front drive shaft u joints or the front axle u joints. It seems to go away if I put it in 4wd, but I've only done that once on the way home today so that is not conclusive.
In any event, this forum seems to have seen just about every possible problem...so what say you all? Am I on the right track? The driveshaft u joints don't look too terribly difficult to handle....but that front axle...I don't think I want to tear that apart unless I have to.
About 95k miles on it now. I bought it 10k ago.

Unlikely but I'm just throwing this out there because it is a 20 second fix. I had a squeak that turned out to be the stoppers under the corners of the hood. Just threw some grease on and it was fixed. It was hard to tell where it was coming from. The mechanic and I were out there shaking the truck by hand for fifteen minutes.
